so my mom bought me this sweet cookbook
from the wellesley apple butter and cheese festival in 1996. the best recipe so far is a drink recipe, and it is as follows:
Refreshing Rainbow
32 oz bottle ginger ale
20 oz cider or juice
20 oz grape juice
Ice cubes
1 pt strawberries
2 oranges, sliced
2 lemons, sliced
Makes 8 servings.

that four of my five classes for the fall are all in the same room. BMH 1035, the reccers’ room. i will apparently be spending a lot of time there. my fifth class is in physics…hahaha.
i’ve also discovered i have no classes wednesdays or fridays. which is entirely unintentional. i do not plan my classes around what times they’re offered at.

around this time in june. father’s day is sunday - my mom’s birthday is june 16th - my dad’s birthday is june 20th. it is the worst. i have to figure out what to get both mom and dad (dadx2) and meet with my parents seperately in secret to figure out what to do for the other parent.

ok, i thought last week’s sunday school was hilarious, but this one was pretty good.
so theres this girl in my class named harmony. her dad is italian and her mom is white and harmony has very dark skin and hair. today in sunday school we were drawing with sidewalk chalk and harmony saw her mom and this is the conversation:

her mom: what? are you talking to me?

i always have to be painfully nice to customers. sometimes i have to grit my teeth and be really nice. when they ask me if flowers match, i never give them my honest opinion, which is usually “no, they suck actually.” i always say “if you like, who cares what other people think?” i also always laugh at their stupid and un-funny jokes.

today my sister is going to formal. my mom made her dress. it’s very lovely, and very anneka-ish. mom says there is enough material leftover to make a skirt for me! i am not very good at sewing. i feel like its a necessary skill to be a woman someday.
